She has had training in various exercise modalities like indoor cycling, TRX, and barre, as well as an ACE - Group Fitness Instructor certification. She is a NASM certified trainer as well as a Mamaste Fit Pre and Post Natal Fitness Trainer. She is currently enrolled in a one year program at the Nutritional Therapy Association starting in September 2024 to become a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner.

Her approach to teaching yoga is a blend of intuitive and anatomical. Balancing the flowing, poetic release that the practice can bring with the biomechanical and functional approach to the movements, it is always the goal that we understand the "WHY" behind every movement we make - and at the same time - not create too much rigidity that we stifle the emotional healing that can come from free flowing movement and breath work. Heather is passionate about working with pregnant moms and postpartum moms, especially after her own home birth in 2022. She credits God, her midwife/doula team, her yoga practice, and mindset/breath work to feeling confident in her body during birth and postpartum. She strives to help women feel confident to handle the physical and mental demands of pregnancy and motherhood and to love and accept the changes that occur through the portal of maiden to mother - meeting yourself again with love and acceptance.

Heather loves spending time with her husband and two children. She loves to hike, paddle board and do other outdoor sports, paint, make and learn about herbal medicine and health, and spend copious amounts of time in nature and sunlight.

What is Pelvic Health Physical Therapy?

Pelvic health physical therapy involves a musculoskeletal assessment with focus on the abdominals, rib cage, spine, and pelvis (including sacroiliac joints, sacrum, coccyx, vulvar, and vaginal regions) in relation to function. With the patient’s consent, external and/or internal vaginal or rectal assessments for pelvic floor muscle assessment are also performed. These muscles assist with support of pelvic organs, bowel/bladder control, and sexual function. Treatments for pelvic dysfunctions are based on assessment findings and are discussed thoroughly with the patient.
