Katelyn is the owner of The Fem PT which is a “one stop mom shop” for moms and babies in the Central Virginia area. She is a mom of 4 and is passionate about helping mom’s return back to exercise postpartum. She has a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Lynchburg College and is CAPP - PELVIC certified in Pelvic Health. Since 2018, she has helped hundreds of ladies with pelvic health needs to regain confidence and control!

Katelyn has completed the following APTA Specialty Courses:

  • Pelvic Health 1 (Prolapse & Incontinence) 

  • Pelvic Health 2A (Pelvic Pain)

  • Pelvic Health 2B (Bowel Dysfunction)

She sees patients in person for pelvic floor PT sessions and has created online rehab/fitness programs to assist ladies in their home environment.

She has a passion for assisting women in all phases of life whether not pregnant, pregnant, or postpartum in order to return to function, exercise, and work without pain or pelvic floor dysfunction. Her goal is to leave patients feeling empowered, educated, and equipped.

  • Is this suitable after borth vaginal and C-Section Births? Yes — the program includes guidance and specific plans for both!

  • Do I need special equipment? For the first couple of weeks, no equipment is needed. However, after that having 5-15 lb weights are recommended as you get stronger and progress!

  • How long is the program? Structured like a 12-week plan but you go as fast or slow as you want.

  • How soon postpartum can I start this plan? This program is designed for you to begin as soon as you are ready after birth. There are so many intentional/gentle movements and lifestyle habits to implement early on that can help you start feeling less pain/improved healing/improved core connection faster! However, this program is also well suited for postpartum moms who didn’t start right away and just want to be intentional about building their pelvic floor/deep core foundation to return to exercise intentionally or stop symptoms!

  • How long do I have access to the program? This is a lifetime product! That means you can come back to these videos as often as you would like!
